8:30 PM Two Cent Sam
Following on from a brilliant debut EP and a spot at one of Rock and Roll’s most prestigious venues, Long Island natives Two Cent Sam are set to take that next big leap with their outstanding debut album ‘Songs From The Sandbox’.
Formed in early 2009, TCS wasted no time in piecing together their brilliant first EP "Give And Take World" in December of that year. Catapulting them onto the NYC gig circuit, the band entered into the Hard Rock Battle of the Bands which they later won, resulting in a show at the infamous Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, beating out a number of other Long Island acts.
9:30 PM The Vinyl Plane
The Vinyl Plane is a rock band; five talented musicians with a distinct “throwback”
sound. Some call it southern fried blues‐rock, with a dash of Neil Young, a slice of Humble Pie, a sniff of Joe Walsh, some cargo from the Drive‐By Truckers and beneath the wings of The Black Crowes. Mix it all up and what do you have? An amazing original band, collaborating to write great music. Formerly The Headie Berrie, this quintet now consists of bass, drums, two guitars, harmonica, and vocals. They were loud and exciting and played all over New York City and Long Island. The name changed to fit the sound of their music better and so flew, The Vinyl Plane.
